2012 Gas Gas TXT Pro Range

2012 Gas Gas TXT Pro Range

To say that trials is pretty much a specialised sport is to drastically understate the case. Trials riders are in the main very clued-up on their sport and know what’s what – which is why carrying out bike tests is often no easy matter.

KTM 350 SX-F

KTM 350 SX-F

The 350 SXF is without doubt the bike of the decade. With its light and nimble feel and abundance of useable power it is by far the pick of the bunch.

KTM 250 SX-F

While the 350 is undoubtedly the bike to have for overall lap times the 250SX-F runs it a close second, only losing out on a little ooomph!

KTM 125/150 SX

The 150SX has to be the revelation of the last couple of years. There’s no doubt this bike has special talents, especially on hard pack tracks where it enables you to throw it into corners on the gas, knowing that it isn’t going to slam you to the ground.

KTM 450/500 EXC

The 450 and 500 have been on the receiving end of more changes than any of the range.

KTM 250/300 2t

I am not a two-stroke rider. I dabble on other people’s bikes. enjoy them and always hand them back, returning to my beloved torquey, smooth four bangers.

KTM 125/200 2t

125 two strokes have a special talent. There is no bike on the planet more fun to ride than a small-bore two-stroke. The kind of bike that requires full commitment and aggression to get the most out of them, but when ridden well make you feel like you’re the fastest man alive.

KTM 250 EXC-F

As well as receiving the frame and suspension updates the 250 received a new alternator to deal with EFI, a revised cylinder head and intake cam profile and a revised electric starter to match the 350.

KTM 350 EXC-F

The 350 EXC-F is without a doubt one of the most anticipated enduro bikes for a very long time.

Shercool runnings

FIRSTLY, somewhat bizarrely for a bike test, apologies to all concerned for being so ‘late' with this Sherco test. The test was originally set-up and ready to go in December but then the ‘Big Freeze' set in and any meaningful test became impossible.
