After a six-week break the Enduro World Championship returned to action with a bang at the GP of Spain in Puerto Lumbreras. Delivering the home win he and the Spanish crowd had hoped for, KTM’s Ivan Cervantes won both days in the Enduro 2 class at the GP of Spain while returning to his form of old, Christophe Nambotin (KTM) put his South American struggles behind him to top the Enduro 3 class podium both days.
DOUGIE Lampkin rode to an emphatic victory in the 2013 Scottish Six Days Trial, which was staged around Fort William last week. This took Doug’s number of wins to a stunning seven, now two up on the next highest, the five wins of SSDT legends Mick Andrews and Sammy Miller.
With three strong top-three finishes, but without a race win in the class Jonathan Barragan climbed to the top step of the MX1 podium for the first time at the third round of the Maxxis British Motocross championship at Milton Park. Meanwhile, winner of the first two motos and the man on form, series leader Tanel Leok ground to a halt on the wet and slippery final race of the day with a dead engine.
KTM has, as usual, beaten everyone to the punch and released details of its 2014 off-road range. Next year is all about evolution rather than revolution, so in the main it has been about refining the products. On the MX front the model with the biggest change is the 250 SX-F, which has been treated to a whole new gearbox that now sports a five-speed cluster, rather than the previous six-speed box.
The tall Belgian Red Bull KTM Factory rider gives the KTM 125 a good workout.

With the World Enduro Championship beginning its European tour in a couple of weeks, the second round of the GBXC ACU National Off-Road Championship at Rogers Hill Raceway in Dorset was perfect for the world contenders to hone their skills and Knighter Honda rider, David Knight, did so to perfection with two impressive wins over the weekend.
