He went into sub-orbit at his home track on the approach to the largest jump. Reed hit a kicker on the face of the jump and then launched into the air, landing on the edge of the down slope.

Reed lay motionless for some time but amazingly he gets up and climbs back on - only to find himself dead last. He then bravely rides on, passing 25 riders to finish 14th.
