THE ACU Motocross Academy jetted off to Cingoli, Italy, last weekend to compete in the opening round of the European 65cc, 85cc and 125 Junior championships where there was some podium success for the squad and some strong all round performances against a quality field.

AN exciting new Youth motocross championship will take place later in the year when the ACU and BSMA join forces to promote the Champion of Champions 2008. THE National Youth motocross season bursts into life this weekend, March 28/29, as the nation’s elite young riders cross the Irish Sea and line-up at the superb Desertmartin circuit for round one of the Moggstar BYMX Championship. The Irish circuit will provide the fantastic platform for the opening encounter of a championship that is set to be one of the most competitive in recent years, and some scintilating racing can be expected across the board.

OVER 70 competitors took part in the third round of the ACU Youth A and B class British Trials Championship held at Wolversleigh Farm, Sidbury, in East Devon, hosted by the Otter Vale Motorcycle Club. Competitors tackled 13 sections three times with A class riders starting at section one, following the deep gully to the east of the farm, and the Youth B class at section six at the west of the farm in the wooded banked and loose gully sections.

NOW into it’s second season, the Maxxis British MXY2 Motocross Championship exploded into life at the opening round of the full championship at Donington Park on Sunday where the returning Scott Elderfield marked his card as one to watch in the Youth ranks this season with overall victory on the day from the impressive Sam Davis and moto two victor Josh Spinks following what was an exciting and closely fought days racing.
