Welsh date for A and B's

Apologies to all concerned but for some reason last week's full-page feature in T+MX on the Westmorland club's ABC&D class championships waxed lyrical about the C&D challengers but didn't actually include any words on the A and B contenders.
The results were all included, along with Championship points, as were A and B class pics, it was the words that went missing.
All of which unfortunately robbed the worthy class winners of some of their glory. Chris Stay, who journeyed all the way from the Isle of Wight up into Cumbria, took A class on his JST Gasser by just two points from Luke Walker with current series leader Bradley Cox some distance back in third.
In Youth B it was Welsh ace Iwan Roberts claiming the maximum Championship points, again only by a handful from Jack Price with Billy Bolt third.
The trial, staged at the excellent natural rocky venue at Tow Tops, near High Newton, and with views of Morecambe Bay, proved to be a good test for both sets of Championship chasers. The leading lads enjoyed the challenge, it makes a long journey worthwhile, but possibly those of lesser ability found the sections on the hard side. The club did try to make the sections possible to get through and resisted the temptation to include the many rock steps at the venue.
The next round will be held on July 3 at Casailgwm Bach, by Brocader MCC.
