The 2018 Arenacross Tour schedule has been updated with the Wembley round moved from February 3 to February 17.

This of course means that Wembley will now replace Sheffield as the host of the series' grand finale as in previous years. The reason behind the move is the announcement that the 2018 Arenacross Tour is set to go international!

Details are yet to be firmed up but it's been made clear that the Wembley date will be the final round of the UK tour as well as the opening round of a 'World Tour'.

Now heading into its sixth year, AX has always been an international affair as world-class athletes from around the globe engage in fierce competition with a single-minded determination to claim Arenacross glory. However, now those very same athletes could potentially be competing in front of a home crowd.

While a World Tour is a bold move it's something that has been in the mind of AX's promoter and producer Matt Bates for quite a while...

"While we can't say too much right now about any international dates or venues the plans are most definitely in place and the London

date change is something which we've had to do in order to accommodate the Arenacross World Tour," claims Matt Bates, Arena Sports Live CEO.

"We've grown the Arenacross brand tenfold over the past few years here in the UK but with more and more international riders wanting to get on board and even further interest from fans all across the world, it's time for AX world domination!

"While Europe is an obvious choice for us with the extreme entertainment value of Arenacross, we've also got something else totally unexpected planned, which we've no doubt will shock and surprise a lot of people!"

So remember, the 2018 Arenacross tour final will now take place at The SSE Arena Wembley on the February 17.

If you already had tickets for Wembley on February 3 these will of course be valid for the new date. Arenacross asks that anyone who has any queries on this change of date to contact the box office where the tickets were purchased from.
