Unexpectedly wet and muddy conditions at round three of EWC

For the second consecutive round of the Enduro World Championship Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team riders were forced to battle against wet, muddy and incredibly slippery conditions as heavy rain ensured yet another demanding EnduroGP event.

Hoping to make a return to the top of the Enduro 2 class in Greece, Mathias Bellino endured two frustrating days of competition in Grevena. With his performances on both days punctuated with mistakes and a number of big crashes, the Frenchman was unable to finish higher than fifth on day one and eighth on day two.

For both Danny McCanney and Pascal Rauchenecker the GP of Greece also proved to be a tough one. Looking to challenge for a place on the Enduro 1 class podium on day one, Danny saw his hopes of a top three result end following a costly mistake on the motocross test.

Day two saw a notable improvement in the Manxman's pace, ending the day fifth. Seventh on day one having also been caught out by the challenging conditions on several occasions Rauchenecker improved to sixth on day two. McCanney and Rauchenecker now sit fifth and sixth respectively in the Enduro 1 championship standings.

In the Enduro Junior class Rockstar Energy Husqvarna's Spanish youngster Josep Garcia battled his way to sixth at the end of the first day.

One of many riders to get caught out by a challenging uphill on the motocross test on day one, Josep put his costly mistake behind him on day two to improve to the runner-up spot. Garcia currently sits third in the Enduro Junior championship standings, just eight points behind the runner-up spot.
