However, it is in the Dakar Rally - that race in which the world's best rally riders are really put to the test - where Laia has cemented herself as a true legend.
She has overcome illness and injuries, as well as a multitude of other problems that have ended up drawing unanimous admiration of all fans and her rally competitors alike.
