The ACU Motocross Committee has revised the calendar for the 2021 ACU British Sidecar Cross Championship following recent changes to world and national events.

The revision to the schedule means the start of the championship is pushed back to May 30 and will be held at Dean Moor.

With restrictions in place that will not allow not spectators to attend events held in England before May 17, the Foxhill round, which was planned for April 18, has been cancelled.

The Wakes Colne round has moved from August 8 to a week later on August 15. This is due to a date changes of another major championship within the centre. Both organising clubs have worked tirelessly to ensure that both events could still take place on the new dates.

An organiser is still to be announced for the final round of September 12 and the reserve date has been dropped after the Sidecar GP calendar was extended further into the year.

"The opportunity to include more rounds will be dependant on the ever-changing Covid situation in Europe and any changes will be done in consultation with the championship riders," said the ACU.

Update June 21, 16:30 BST: Following the recently announced calendar for the FIM Sidecar Motocross World Championship, the ACU made another date change to the British Sidecarcross Championship.

Working closely with the Halstead Club, the ACU announced that the Wakes Colne round would move from August 15 to September 12. The ACU will not use the August 15 date due to a clash with the Estonian GP.
