SPANISH sensation Toni Bou made history last Sunday by giving Montesa-Honda their very first four-stroke win in a World Championship Indoor Trial when he took an amazing victory in the opening round of the 2007 series, staged in Granada, Spain.

The ride was more remarkable because it was Bou's first World Indoor Champ-ionship ride on the factory Repsol-Montesa 4RT as he only joined the team on January 1. Toni's win, by a crushing 10 marks, shocked reigning Champ Adam Raga who found himself in a distant second place while it was another debutant, Jeroni Fajardo on the Beta REV3 in third.

Bou had actually served warning as to what he could do on the 4RT when he took first place in the 20th running of the International Invitation trial in Toulouse, France, on Friday evening when he thrashed Raga in a ride that should have had the alarm bells ringing in all the camps.

Even so, it was still a shock that he was right on the case from the off in Granada and he was totally sensational in the final!
While Bou and Fajardo were soaring on their new mounts, it was not much of a debut for Polish number one Tadeusz Blazusiak who was riding under the TTT Beta banner for the first time since switching from Scorpa. Taddy quickly clocked-up seven failures in the seven Qualifying sections and that was that for full-house score of 35. He then lost his dual-lane race to Fuji for a 36 finish!
