Tommy Searle sets eyes 2019 MX1 title

British Motocross Championship

In his final ride for Bike It DRT Kawasaki before his move to Bos Kawasaki, Tommy Searle was unstoppable at Lyng as he raced to a comfortable double victory.

Despite missing the opening round of the Maxxis after breaking his collarbone at Valkenswaard and still clearly struggling for fitness on his return at round two at Canada Heights Tommy still ended the championship in third, just 34 points behind Evgeny Bobryshev.

Next season hes looking to regain the title he won in 2016.

Im going for the championship, theres no reason why not, he said. I want to win it and I think if I can stay healthy all season and be at every race then I can. This year I missed the first round and then came into the series off the back of injury which made it harder but I think next year it will be really good with Shaun [Simpson] back and Jake [Nicholls].

The more riders who are in it the better it is for me. Like the time I won it in 2016 I think it was the strongest year its been and I came out on top and Ill be trying to do that again next year.
