Jason Higgs hasn't lost it yet

Motocross

Always one of the most stylish if a little on the wild side riders both on and off the track, its good to see that the irrepressible Jason Higgs hasnt lost it.

The former British championship front-runner and boy band member was at last weekends Classic Bike Show at Telford to promote his Motocross Logbook bike registration business where he picked up the award for best scrambles bike from 70s legend Gerrit The Dentist Wolsink with this immaculate 1991 CR250.

It went quite well, Ive got to say, said Jason. It was good meeting Gerrit I enjoyed that. Hes a lovely chap and I really enjoyed his interviews its nice to hear someone making so much sense. It was really interesting to hear him talking about Carlsbad and all that.

Jason wasnt at Telford to win prizes, he was there to further his cause to stamp out bike theft and his off-road registration scheme is really gathering momentum.

Its growing all the time over 600 members in eight weeks. Thats my long-term mission. I want to get it to become a mandatory thing with the ACU, AMCA and everyone else.

The CR250 was obviously not one of Jasons former race machines (for starters, it was in one piece) the bike was in fact provided by Chris Elderfield.
