B & I vintage Belgium team manager Bart Verelst has released their team to race at the inaugural VMXdN Foxhill to be held at the iconic Wiltshire circuit on August 26-29 2022.

The three-man team is spearheaded by Grand Prix winner Kevin Strijbos who will find some time in his busy schedule with the factory Kawasaki squad to come to England and ride a pair of immaculate 2002 KX250s, supplied and built by former Grand Prix spanner man Bob Bratcher.

Strijbos is no stranger to the international stage having had a long and distinguished career. From being crowned the 1999 85cc world champion, the 36-year-old has built an impressive racing CV. In 2001 he won the European 125 championship before going on to a stellar Grand Prix career where he finished second in the world championships twice (2006 and 2007), won six Grands Prix, stepped on the podium 34 times and was part of the winning MXdN team in 2004.

Strijbos is currently working for the factory Kawasaki KHI MXGP team as a trainer for Ben Watson and Romain Febvre. In fact, Febvre has committed to supporting Kevin at the event, as has the team owner.

The Belgian squad have also entered former Grand Prix rider Mike Vanderstraeten who will be racing a KX500 as will former IMBA championship racer Danny Wauters, who is the team's +40 entrant. The team will run numbers #10, #11 and #12.

The event is shaping up to be epic with top-flight riders and teams announcing their attendance; in team GB's Jake Nicholls' words "one of the most iconic tracks in the history of motocross" on the August Bank Holiday weekend.

The gates open on Thursday the 25th and closes on Monday the 29th, with the racing set for two days; however, the tickets and camping passes are good for the four-day festival, with live music and podcasts (more on that later) scheduled for the evening entertainment.

The ticket pre-sales are brisk and the organisers say it's on track to be the biggest MX event on the UK calendar.

Tickets and camping passes (plus a few trade stand spots) are still available on the event brite website.

We recommend being quick if you require camping as spaces are limited. Although it's a huge venue, the organisers say they're selling lots of passes and it's filling up fast.
