Matt Moffat made it a full-house of overall wins in the Open class of the British 2-Stroke Championship, despite admitting to struggling all day on Saturday.

After following home Josh Waterman in the opening race and then Lewis King second time out, Matt finally topped the podium in the third Open class moto to snatch a narrow two-point win from Josh, who ran 1-3-2 around Duns.

A fifth in the opener backed up by a win and a third were good enough to earn Lewis the third step on the podium.

"Josh and Lewis were both riding really well and I had a good practice but then in the first race I had a problem with my bike,” explained Matt. "I'm not sure what it was but for the second race I took out my new one.

"At the start of the race I had a coming together with Josh. To be honest, I drove it down the inside a bit too hard, it was a bit my fault so I apologise for that.

"I ended up in last place but got back to second, so I was really happy with that.

"In the last moto I felt comfortable and just put in good lap after good lap and passed Josh for the overall so that's four from four!”

In the Junior class Robbie Joe Waller again ran with the Experts to take his third maximum points haul on the bounce and extend his lead at the top of the table from Adam Harris and Jordan Moyle.
