Micky Dymond suffers head injury in crash - admitted to Intensive Care Unit

Micky Dymond has been admitted to an Intensive Care Unit after suffering serval injuries, including head trauma, after crashing from his TT cycle in California.
Dymond was reportedly three miles into the Yorba Linda bike trail with friends Steve Weidler and David Bailey.
Micky took his hand from the handlebar and at that moment his bike jerked left throwing him over the bars impacting on his body and then his head.
The former AMA national champion was unconscious for around 5-10 minutes.
Weidler, Bailey and another cyclist who is a first responder cared for him on the scene until the ambulance arrived.
Mic's partner Brenda Lyons reports that he has three frontal lobe contusions and two of the three contusions have stopped bleeding. He will remain in ICU until the third one stops bleeding and they feel he is okay to be released from intensive care.
Dymond has road rash on every limb, broken ribs and a gash on the back of his head but the good news is that he is breathing on his own, has good vitals and, after some initial concern, does not have any fractures in his spine.
There will be a fundraiser page launched once it is known more about what the long haul looks like.
Lyons reports that she's never been so happy to hear him snore!
