MXoN 2022: Team Spain announce rider line-up for RedBud

Team Spain has announced the rider roster for the 2022 Motocross of Nations, which will be held at RedBud MX, USA on September 24-25.
Captaining the Spanish team in the MXGP category is the two-time MX2 world champion, Jorge Prado (#46). Joining the factory GASGAS rider is Team Honda 114 Motorsports' Ruben Fernandez (#48) who will compete for glory in the Open class, while the MX2 slot will feature young rider Guillem Farres (#47).
Team Spain has also revealed a capable reserve rider in Jose Butron. He is the EMXOpen table topper and Spain's EliteMX1 champion.
"Possibly we are one of the youngest teams on the grid and made up of top-level riders who can make us dream of everything this year," said national coach Paco Rico.
"I am very clear that this new generation of riders has many numbers to take us to finally step on the podium in these coming years. We have already seen Jorge and Ruben climb the podium together this year in MXGP and Guillem has shown his level internationally in MX2, something that has not gone unnoticed by the big teams and a very promising future awaits him. I'm sure they will give everything to get a great result.
"I want to thank the total support and effort of the RFME so that the Spanish team is present in the MXoN of the USA."
