This weekend the sidecar GP season moves to GP 11 in Switzerland at the fantastic natural Roggenburg track.

Etienne Bax and Kaspars Stupelis retained the red plate at the end of GP 10 in Latvia and aim do to the same this weekend.

Qualifying races were great especially race one, with five British teams qualified for the GP races.

The weather was extremely hot reaching 25 deg but it felt hotter.

In group A we saw one of the best races in qualifying this season. Action from start to finish.

J Brown /Millard took the hole-shot with No 8 - Wilkinson /Humphrey - close in second, No 82 - Bax /Stupelis - where battling for third but

couldnt find a way through, No 888 - Brown /Chamberlain - took the outside line and it was three British team blasting into the lead on lap

two.

No 82 - Bax /Stupelis - stayed close and soon made their move working forward to take a safe lead.

Brown /Chamberlain - battled past Wilkinson /Humphrey - to take second but No 2 - Hermans / Musset - were soon on their tail and there was a

great challenge but No 2 - Hermans /Musset - picked up clutch problem and dropped back.

No 8 - Wilkinson /Humphrey - held a safe fourth with No 28 - J Brown /Millard - just behind local heroes No 22 - Cuche /Cuche - were next with No 23 - Kinge /Gray - in a brilliant seventh. All four teams qualified for the front row for the GP races tomorrow.

In group B Heinzer /Betschart took the holeshot but were challenged but Dierckens / Bax who managed to get ahead and lead the pack into lap

one.

From behind No 1 - Vanluchene /Van Den Bogaart - were on a charge recovering from a poor start but soon closing on No 10 - Dierckens /Bax, and one small mistake from the leaders and No 1 - Vanluchene /Van Den Bogaart - were through to the lead going on to take a great win.

No 10 - Dierckens /Bax - stayed second with No 19 - Heinzer /Betschart - holding off challenges from No 7 - Varik /Daiders.

No 5 - Veldman /Janssens - took a steady fifth just ahead of No 14 - Van Wernen /Beunk.

No 100 - Foden /Bijenhof - and No 32 - Moulds /Anthony - were caught up in a first bend crash and were the last teams away. No 32 - Moulds /Anthony in their first GP together battled through to a qualifying position, with No 100 - Foden /Bijenhof - just missing out, but they

picked up a reserve place in the last chance qualifying race.

So five British teams qualified for the GP races, and four on the front row it will be interesting racing, and with Bax /Stupelis working hard

to hold the championship lead and the red plate, expect to see some good battles.

Keep watching our updates for the GP results on Sunday.
