The stunning hillside track at St. Harmon, just outside Rhayader, Mid Wales, will reverberate to the sound of competition motorcycles on Wednesday evening June 1, when the long-awaited return of the Welsh Open Motocross Championship takes place.

There's a brilliant national-class entry taking part, with top moto stars Tommy Searle, Harry Kullas, Adam Sterry, Jake Millward, Stephen Clarke, Dan Thornhill, Calum Mitchell and John Adamson as they all look to grab a share of the big prize money on offer.

AMCA stars Tony Craig and James Mackrel will also contribute to a fantastic entry list, and they'll be joined by top locals Alex Walton and Zac Stealey.

Jonny Groves of Shape n Scape has ensured all will enjoy the spectacular track facelift, which includes a downhill ski jump, wall of death berm, the infamous 65ft finish line tabletop jump as well as a 125 ft uphill triple jump and rhythm section. New for 2022 is a spectator area on the uphill triple jump.

With practice at 5.45pm and the first race at 6.45pm, there's a slickly run 10-race programme, three races per group, with the popular Grand Final "dash for cash" race at the end of the evening.

The circuit, virtually the whole of which can be seen from any vantage point also has a full trackside public address system, keeping the large crowds informed 4,000 turned out for the event the last time it was held in 2019 will be commentator Chris Czora.

In addition, there are trade stands, catering facilities, a licensed bar, a tarmac drive into the circuit with excellent hard parking and permanent toilets everything, in fact, for the family to enjoy a good night's entertainment.
