Its is with regret that i inform you all that Sam Haslam will be switching Teams for 2007 and moving to Scorpa.

I am disappointed and 'gutted' to lose Sam as he was a valued member of our Trials Team. I do however understand and respect his decision and wish him all the best for this coming season.

Sam has been been offered a deal with the Scorpa factory in conjunction with the UK Importer (Nigel Birkett) that is too good to turn down that provides 'factory' bikes and 'factory' support at World Championship events which the GAS GAS factory could not offer to him.

The GG Factory cannot help everybody as 'factory' riders and to keep Adam Raga is their immediate and most important choice. I am also very pleased that they have agreed terms with my UK riders Shaun Morris and Alexz Wigg as factory supported riders and i thank them for helping the UK based riders etc.

They did offer some level of 'assistance' at WTC for Sam but obviously the Scorpa deal is more of a 'full-on' deal.

The expense of a UK based rider competing in the WTC is immense and any financial support from ANY manufacturer has to be seriously considered.

As i said, i wish Sam all the best for 2007.
