Spanish-based Brit Eddie Jay Wade continues to impress in the Euro 85cc series and raced to a storming second overall at Orehova in Slovenia over the weekend.

After overcoming a bad start in his qualifying race he was caught up in a couple of incidents late on that saw him go through to the points-paying races in 12th but he made up for it in both of Sunday's motos.

In the opener he went into the first corner in 10th and kept the power on around the outside to emerge in second, then took the lead a couple of corners later.

After opening up a four-second gap a back-marker forced him off-line and he fell but recovered quickly to take second.

Race two saw him take the lead before the end of the opening lap with race one winner Rene Hofer giving chase.

The pair pulled clear and Eddie looked good for the win before back-markers again came into play and Hofer got past.
