Manuel Copetti was crowned as the new Junior European Champion in Lazatte (Italy) after finishing third in the closing event. Toby Martyn was fifth in Italy to end third in the premier class Championship Standings.

Manuel Copetti brought Vertigo its first international Championship. The Italian youngster secured his well-deserved title on home soil this last weekend in Lazatte. After 4 rounds Copetti has proven he was the best by never dropping off the podium.

The day began with Copetti feeling the pressure in the early stages as he made several mistakes. Being in front of his home crowd and sighting the title so close was mentally tough, but then proved why he was the man to beat, bouncing back and finishing on the podium once again. His riding aboard the Combat Ice Hell has been great throughout the series, always positioning himself as a victory contender.

We couldn't be any happier with this new title, not only for Copetti, but also for all the efforts Vertigo Italy have made to help him reach this amazing achievement. All the hard work was worth it, and we are really pleased to be able to say that now Vertigo holds his first International Championship. One more success to add to the three SSDT victories by Dougie Lampkin and the British Championships earned by James Dabill in the last two years.

In the premier class, Toby Martyn who was the first leader of the series after the opening race in Zelhem, when he wrapped the victory, has finally ended the Championship in a solid third place.

As Copetti, Martyn has always been in the fight for the victory. Thanks to the great work made by Vertigo Motors UK, Martyn has had a great support through all the rounds.

This is also a stunning result for the young Brit, who is causing quite storm in his first year racing in the international scene. His great performances in the Trial2 World Championship so far, combined to the ones in the European Championship make Vertigo really proud of his progression.

Now Martyn will focus on reaching the third spot of the Trial2 World Championship, as he is currently sitting in fourth with still two races to go.
