North Armagh MC&CC is excited to announce that Martin Barr (picture above) will make his 2009 competitive Irish motocross debut at round six of the Carvill Group Irish Championship on July 18 at Tandragee MX Park.

This will be Martin's first competitive outing in Ireland this season, and also his Irish Suzuki debut, riding a Bodytech Suzuki.

Currently running in the top ten of the Maxxis British MX2 series in defence of his 2008 third place, and having fantastic results in other British Series, Martin is looking forward to competing at home again, especially as it's nearing team selection time for the prestigious Motocross des Nations to be held in October in Italy.

After his maiden Maxxis British Championship victory at Hawkstone Park last month, Martin's confidence is high.

The Ballyclare rider has scored GP points and has represented the MCUI at the MX des Nations since his 2005 debut in France, including a superb performance at last year's event at Donington Park, where he won the B Final, riding while badly injured.
