WOR Events has a pretty hectic schedule over the next couple of weeks. This coming Sunday, June 8, it will host the first round of this year's Motul-supported GB Hare Scrambles Series at the ever popular, and always enjoyable, Maeshafn venue.
Sunday's action consists of a two-hour Intermediate-level event starting at 9.30am and then the main three-hour open event in
the afternoon, starting at 12.30pm.
The circuit has a very motocross-based feel to it, with lots of climbs and descents, wooded single trails, open moorland dashes and has a lap length of 5.6
miles, taking anything from 11 minutes a lap to get around for the Adults.
Maeshafn is always busy and very popular. Entries are open full time this week by calling the hotline number. However WOR still take entries right up 'till the event starts, to allow people plenty of leeway and choice.
Preceding that though, on Saturday, WOR will stage the third round of the FMF Junior Hare Scrambles Series, a Youth specific championship catering for riders on 65cc machines up to 150cc machines.
The first two rounds have been brilliant, with great support, and the little dirt warriors have made a big impression with their commitment and racing skills.
The race starts at 3.30pm and will run for two hours for all classes apart for the 65cc competitors who will run for 90 minutes.
Entries are open for this event. Again call the number below. All are welcome, especially newcomers to the sport.
And finally, on Wednesday, June 11, starting at 6.30pm, the organisation will stage the second round of the CF Racing-sponsored XC series at the Maeshafn venue – on a different course to the one used over the weekend.
Again all classes will be catered for and the emphasis will be on fun and flowing as opposed to a hard mid-week battle.
The first round was well supported and again entering could not be simpler. Call the entries hotline or visit the website.
All of the above events at Maeshafn are easy and simple to enter. Simply call Ian Smart on 07944-378432 or visit www.worevents.com and enter online.
Remember, WOR now take late entries right up 'till the race starts without penalising anyone, so if you want to race – just turn up.
