Can you handle the Tough One?

IT'S that's time of the year again when many Enduro or Off-road fans worth their salt is starting to think about the UK's premier off-road spectacle the Tough One Extreme Sprint Enduro.

For the fourth running of the event on the lastSaturday in January Jan 26 there will be see some subtle changesand improvements to this already renowned event.

The event is well established as the UK Enduroseason curtain raiser and the 2008 version will certainly offer a highprofile start to the year for the new teams and riders starting theircampaigns.

The Tough One will once again bring the famousNantmawr Quarry venue, in Shropshire, to life with a full days Enduroand off-road entertainment culminating in the atmospheric euphoria thatthe bright lights and the dark quarry create along with the cheers ofthousands of off-road fans as the race ends in the haunting darkness ofthis iconic Enduro event.

Will Extreme event specialist, David Knight, theplanet conquering KTM star, make it four wins out of four starts orwill a new name take the coveted crown and massive prize fund.

Will the Knighted one' be penalised by theorganisers as in previous years to show just how good he is at thistype of extreme event or will he simply be set free to destroy theopposition we're told all will be revealed in the near future.

Last year saw the best of Britain's Trials starstake part in the UK's first ever Speed Trial and what a success thatwas the 2008 Event will again see the Trials heroes back to do battle,only this time with an interesting twist!

Once again the Clubman warriors will be back in arace of their own to see if they can qualify for the main race andentertain the crowd with their antics.

lWOR Events is again including the Speed Trial',which proved so successful last year, as part of it's programme at theTough One event, scheduled for January 26, at Nantmawr Quarry,Oswestry, Shropshire.

The Gas Gas Motos UK-sponsored Speed Trial is likea mini Scott' type of event but with no observed sections', so itsall about speed round a challenging multi-lap course!

For 2008, the trial will run for 90-minutesduration and there will be prize money for the top three finishers 750 for the winner, 300 for second place and 150 for third. Thewinning rider will also get a chance to win a further 1,000! Detailson that will be revealed soon.

Entries, which will be limited to 30 riders ofExpert status, are now available for the Speed Trial. The entriesopened on November 10 and close on Monday, December 10.
