The SR75 Molson Racing Suzuki team had a rollercoaster ride at rounds two and three of the Monster Energy Arenacross series at the SSE Hydro, Glasgow, over the weekend.

Reigning AX champ Thomas Ramette - series leader after the opening round in Manchester - showed great speed in the first couple of laps of Saturday's Main Event, making a succession of clean passes as he moved to within striking distance of the podium until he was taken down and forced to recover to ninth.

Cyrille Coulon ended the Main Event fourth after crashing on the final lap as he challenged for third.

The team's fortunes improved on Sunday when Cyrille snatched second with a bold pass in the final corner as Thomas rode safely for fourth.

"My weekend was strong with my team and I am very happy," said Cyrille. "I made some good races with the guys in the front and on Sunday I had a beautiful race with Thomas, Fabien [Izoird] and Josh [Hansen]. These guys are full racers and I had fun."

Having led the Pro championship heading into Glasgow, Thomas has slipped back to fourth but he's confident he can pull back the 11-point deficit to leader Cedric Soubeyras.

"My weekend was at times difficult," he said. "I know my speed is good and I would like to race but sometimes others have some effect but I will work hard to make great results.

"Sunday's race was amazing and I was asked for a solid result by my team so I take no risk and ride with the front guys.

"I cannot wait for Belfast, we are all very excited for this race. Thanks to my team and of course all team partners who give so much."

Team owner Geoff Walker was full of praise for his dynamic French duo. "I am incredibly proud of Thomas and Cyrille in their attitude and skill to turn a difficult day one into an amazing set of results on day two," he said.

"I would like to congratulate Fabien [Izoird] and Josh [Hansen] on their victories as we know what it takes to win one of these Main Events this year."
