Sunday, August 19 and all eyes will be at Driffield for RAW Enduro’s monster 8 hour Hare & Hounds event running at the 650 acre MOD driver training area.
After a hugely successful first two rounds, the final round of the Challenge series sees the biggest test yet for many Solos and teams. Driffield will be ready and waiting to provide a great final race of this popular series.
Lots of riders are already showing interest on a national scale, as the event will be a great training session for any D2D addicts. Solos simply grind it out for 8 hours, relay teams consist of one rider on track, the second rider in a holding area.
Both bikes run the same race number, or riders can share one bike. Team riders tag their partner to release them from the holding area onto track. So, one rider is on track clocking up the laps while the other takes a break. Riders can change at any point.
Saturday 9am to 1:30pm is the Solo Pay & Play. This will be followed at 2pm by RAW4 Quads bashing around the huge Driffield lap.
Then a brand new feature to RAW events is the E-Bike Challenge at 6pm. Classes for Adults and Youth, standard and modified bikes. This course will be suitable for MTB addicts who can get the best out of the Driffield terrain in this first ever pedal power event from RAW.
Sunday sees an early start to racing with the 10am start for the first ever-RAW Challenge 8 hour running on a big track. Camping is available on a concrete hard-standing paddock for up to 500 vehicles. This means no struggle to get on site even if it’s wet.
Sunday morning action kicks off at 10am prompt and the RAW shop will be stocking basic essentials to keep riders going. Colin Appleyard Motorcycles will be in attendance, catering and toilets will be on site throughout the event.
Entries can be processed online via www.rawenduro.co.uk/events/ Riders are urged to process their entry through the online entry system to avoid queues at signing on.
Riders can if they prefer pay on the day, by texting team or solo rider names to Wayne Braybrook on 07802 572023. RAW accept ACU or IOPD licences, any rider without a licence can get an IOPD annual licence from RAW for £15, or a single event licence for £5.
