With the start of the new season only just around the corner the ACU have finalised the three rounds of the British Ladies Motocross Championship which will take place on high profile, quality venues throughout the country.

Introduced for the first time in 2007 as a single round and then increased to two for 2008, the series has now been expanded to three rounds. Starting with the now traditional season opener at Little Silver on the 22nd February, our aspiring Ladies will sample the Devon hillside course before moving onto the popular Asham Woods, Frome venue on Bank Holiday Sunday 24th May as part of their double header before the series reaches its climax at the high profile Maxxis British Championship finale at Landrake on September 27th.

Originally designed to be part of the MMX series, one round was incorporated into the Hawkstone Park round of the Maxxis series in 2008 where the girls gave a good account on the tough sandy circuit and the Motocross Committee are keen to expand on their talents.

Committee Chairman Brian Higgins commented Having witnessed the speed of our top girls who compete in the World Championship events we are delighted the series has expanded to three rounds spread over the season. I am sure the Ladies will gain experience from racing together at top level events and maybe we have a future World Champion in our midst

Registration for the series is free and entry / registration forms can be requested from the ACU Office on 01788 566404. Last years competitors will automatically receive them by post.
