Close call for Musquin at Muddy Creek

AMA Pro Motocross

Red Bull KTMs Marvin Musquin won the second 450 race at Muddy Creek at round five of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.

But a crash in the first moto when he clipped Justin Barcias rear wheel ended his chances of taking the overall.

When you crash on the first lap and see all the field going by you its tough but youve got to deal with it and try your best, said the Frenchman.

It doesnt help and it made it real difficult for me. From that I just tried my best to come back and when youve got the top four guys up at the front its really hard to get better than fifth.

It was very frustrating. All I could do the second moto was get a better start and stay on two wheels and thats what happened.

I got around [Ken] Roczen and then got around Justin and I was able to control the race. It was good enough for a podium and thats all I could do today.

With seven rounds to go Marvin is second in the championship, 32 points behind Eli Tomac.
