Following four largely dry events, the 2010 Enduro World Championship's first wet race delivered some surprise results with the GP of Slovakia proving to be anything but an easy race. Spaniard Cristobal Guerrero claimed a surprise E1 class win on day one before DNFing day two as Frenchman Johnny Aubert set the winning pace. In the Enduro 2 class, experienced Finn Mika Ahola topped day one before Italian youngster Thomas Oldrati secured his maiden EWC win. Extending his lead in the Enduro 3 championship standings, David Knight finished second on day one behind Gas Gas ace Christophe Nambotin before claiming a comfortable win on day two.

Known more as a hard charging dry weather specialist, Spanish Yamaha rider Cristobal Guerrero was the last competitor most expected to top the Enduro 1 class on the opening day's competition at the GP of Slovakia, held for the second year running in the quiet town of Puchov. But come the end of the four-lap opening day Guerrero was the rider at the head of the E1 class, picking up his first win of the season.

With overnight rain continuing into the morning of the first full day it was clear before the first rider had even left the start that it would be a tough event. With an extremely slippery grass covered motocross test and a technical enduro test proving troublesome, four laps of the forest based course challenged all riders.
