Trey Canard topped Superpole and won the first SX1 Final from gate to flag, as Justin Barcia had to negotiate his way round Fabien Izoird, Cedric Soubeyras and Cyrille Coulon to move through and cross the finish-line just two seconds behind Canard.

Barcia took the overall and the title of ‘King of Genoa' when he won the second final by jusat over two seconds ahead of Canard.

Will Hahn had to come out of the pack each time for third place.

Fourth overall, with a tally of 21 points on the night, another American import, PJ Larsen, increased his lead in the Italian championship.

In the SX2 class Valentin Teillet passed Romain Berthome and Killian Auberson for the win but Auberson increased his lead in the championship.

Suzuki's German-born star, Brian Hsu – whose dad is Hungarian, his mother Taiwanese and who lives in Italy – dominated the SX125 class.

Hordes of fans invaded the track for the award ceremony, seeking autographs and photos of their supercross heroes. It was amazing, exciting and a super supercross of Genoa!

The roar of the engines, usual petrol of this event, was literally overwhelmed by the roars and applause of the 12.000 fans who have attended the show.

The opening ceremony began with a ‘Flash Mob' which was attended by some of the big names of the two-wheeled sport world starting with US riders Justin Barcia, Trey Canard and Will Hahn who returned to Europe, with Antonio Cairoli and road-race star Andrea Dovizioso.
