British Motocross Championship Brad Anderson

While pretty much everyone was happy to see the final MX1 race cancelled at Duns on Sunday, one rider was actually disappointed and surprise, surprise that man was Verde Substance KTMs Brad Anderson.

They dont come any tougher than the two-time British champ and after taking third in the opening moto he was itching to get out there again.

"I was looking forward to that second race but as you can see the fogs so bad its probably a good shout to cancel," said Brad, who won his first MX1 title in appalling conditions at Duns in 2009. "In the race I caught up to Monticelli halfway through and we both nearly got onto Bobryshev for first and a few more laps and I think it would have been a good battle.

"I had no goggles on and back-markers were hard work so it was a struggle but Im happy to be back on the box. I havent been on my 450 for a long time now so it was good to get on it again."

Andos still not 100 per cent fit after injuring his knee at Matterley Basin and hes decided to prioritise his defence of the EMX300 title rather than take an MXGP wild card ride this weekend.

"The knee didnt seem too bad. Its getting better and better each week but its still in my mind a little bit and with the track being so slippery today its been harder work. We were thinking about doing Lommel but weve decided to pull the plug and focus on the EMX300."
