Foxhill MXGB date change

British Motocross Championship Foxhill

The Foxhill round of the 2021 Revo ACU British Motocross Championship is again the victim of an MXGB calendar revision, and will now be held on Saturday, June 19.

The date shuffle for Foxhill removes the clash of the opening round of the FIM Motocross World Championship, set to start in Russia on June 13.

That change, however, has now set up a clash with the MX Nationals, which had already scheduled Hawkstone Park for June 19/20.

The last couple of weeks have seen numerous meetings and conversations taking place between RHL Activities, members of Langrish MX club, MX Nationals and venue operators, as they sort a workable solution for its congested calendar.

There have been concerted efforts and willingness from all parties to work together, says RHL. However, due to planning restrictions, it was not possible for the Salop Club to accommodate a date change for the Hawkstone Park round of the MX Nationals.

Foxhill and Little Silver have always been part of the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship selection rounds for Youth Team GB and it was important a workable solution was found.

Gareth Hockey thanks Paul Irwin, who has worked alongside him and the RHL Team in trying to find a workable solution. The MX Nationals has not yet announced any revisions to their plans. We may see that soon.

With the revised Foxhill date now just one week before the MXGP of Great Britain, could we now see more Grand Prix wildcards?

Rider entries are now open and an update on advance spectator tickets will be released soon. The 2021 MXGB calendar has been updated below...
