Coates wraps up a win

ON REMEMBRANCE Sunday, at Wilden Lane, the second day of a two-day weekend meeting, the Remembrance Day Open Motocross, there might not have been any championship points up for grabs but the racing was absolutely blistering all the way through the card on a circuit that was a credit to the Wilden club.
Curtis Blamey worked hard all day and looked impressive at times taking overall victory in the Junior 65s. He took a second race win as red-hot Sam Wragg suffered with bike problems.
Sam made no mistake in the other two races as he scorched through every turn unchallenged. Robert Yates consistency rewarded him with second place overall.
In the Small-wheel 85s Paul Coates and Ben Howell squared up to each other in a well matched contest. At the end of the day Paul just had the edge and took three superb race wins. Ben, however, showed he's right on the pace with the bigger machinery.
Throw into the mix a resurgent Ashley Smith and a very rapid Josh Chapman and it all added up to some great action.
