SCARBOROUGH rider, Gary Collinson, rode his Scorpa to a well-earned victory in the Guisborough club's round of the Northern Group Championship, at Charltons, on Sunday.

Collinson held off a strong challenge from Jonathon Frost and local ace, Karl Dodderidge, thanks to a superb ride on the huge rocks of section two. Here, Collinson was brilliant, losing only three marks while Frost and Dodderidge lost ten apiece.

Collinson almost blew it though, with a five on the tight turns and adverse cambers of section seven, where Guisborough Club Warden Clive Bates was observing. However, he had enough in reserve to hang on for the win.
