It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Savill, a well-known figure in the amateur Motocross world, during the 80s and 90s. She died after a short battle with cancer on August 26, aged 76.

Tina and husband Talbot, who survives her, will be remembered as a power-house of energy, establishing several AMCA clubs in the southwest, beginning with Teignbridge in 1986, then later, South West Devon, Plymouth and East Cornwall and also Dartmoor, which later affiliated with ORPA. Between them, they also ran the AMCA South West Centre for some ten years, from 1992 to 2002, with Tina as secretary and Talbot as coordinator.

Both their sons Robbie and Tyrone, competed in schoolboy and adult events from 1979 on, with Tyrone becoming a multi-time southwest champion and eventually one of the top 500cc British championship riders in the AMCA.

The funeral will be held at St.Andrews church, East Allingon, near Totnes in Devon TQ9 7RE on Tuesday, September 11 at 11.30 a.m.
