A rejuvenated David Knight will be going for glory this weekend at Parkwood Offroad Centre, Tong near Bradford as the second round of the ACU British Extreme Enduro Championship and the opening round of the FIM Europe Extreme Enduro Cup takes place, in the form of Eddys X-treme Enduro.
Backed by KTM UK, Knight will look to capitalise on his Heads of the Valleys victory late last year and a win at Tong will give him an unassailable lead in the race for the 2015 BEEC title.
Tom Sagar makes a welcome return to extreme racing and will be out to make an impression on his Colwyn Bay KTM UK machine, as will extreme stalwart Paul Bolton on his Eurotek KTM.
Organiser Paul Edmondson has once again tweaked the course to give the riders the ultimate challenge and spectators a spectacular event to witness.
Fast Eddy is determined to make this event one of the most extreme at the Tong venue so far.
The combination of woodland, dotted with steep valleys and rock sections make Tong a great event for spectators, especially with a service road around the venue that allows easy access to all the extreme sections.
The afternoon race has an added extreme section that includes the infamous waterfall and always gets plenty of attention from spectators.
As ever, the event has attracted a full-house of entries from the UK and across the continent with some of the world's best extreme riders ready to tackle the testing course, nearly half of the Pro class is made up of overseas riders.
Entries are now closed and there is a reserve list in operation.
The event format will remain unchanged.
A two-hour morning race for Veterans, Sportsman and Youth 13 to 16 riders starts at 9.30am with the finish flag being waved at 11.30am and will be followed by a two and a half hour race for Clubman, Expert and Pro riders beginning at 12.30pm until 3pm.
The presentation of awards will follow shortly afterwards.
Signing-on will be open on Saturday from 2pm until 4pm.
Riders in the opening race can also sign-on on Sunday between 8am and 9.15am. Pro, Expert and Clubman competitors can sign-on between 10am and noon on Sunday
The entrance gates will be open from 7.30am onwards on Sunday morning
Spectator entry prices will also remain unchanged at just ten pounds for adults, under 16s and OAPs five pounds and under 5s free with no charges for parking, making this an excellent value for money event and fantastic family entertainment.
Postcode for the venue is BD4 0RR.
