The 2013 Scott Amateur Nationals series proved one of the best championships around the UK with the series starting at Condover and finishing at FatCat and in between taking in trips to the legendary Hawkstone Park and Farleigh Castle.

And with rounds at Brampton, Mildenhall and Pontrilas, the championship was filled with action-packed racing in all seven championships.

There was no better sound than a line-up of 40 125 two-strokes blasting around the tracks and turning in some fantastic racing to thrill the fans.

Rob Clitheroe set the early pace as he took overall win at Condover and a runner-up spot at Hawkstone but injury left him on the sidelines for the rest of the year and the championship leader dropped down in the standings.

Ashley Crossley started the year strongly with second overall at Condover and strong results at Hawkstone, Brampton and FatCat left him holding the championship lead by the halfway mark.

Crossley was the highest championship points scorer at Mildenhall and a fifth at Farleigh gave him a healthy 135-point cushion at the top from Andrew Lawton.

The No.31 turned into No.1 at Pontrilas as his 5-4-8 scorecard gave him the title with a round to spare.

Andrew Lawton was consistent all year, starting with a fourth in Condover and strong results such as his third place in the first race at Farleigh gave him the runner-up spot on the podium.

Matt Hockenhull took the final podium position, just six points ahead of Cumbrian Aaron Tallentire.

Dan Wright took overall wins at Hawkstone and FatCat, Lewis Meadows took the Mildenhall and Pontrilas wins, Brad Freeman was the man at Farleigh and Cory Nemeth and Jordan Eccles took one overall apiece.

David Campbell took the early lead in the Vets, with two wins and a second and also backed that up with another overall victory at Hawkstone, which put him 42 points ahead of the rest of the pack.

However Campbell wasn't to compete in the full championship and he dropped down to twelfth by the end of the year, leaving the door open for Adrian Bradley on his Suzuki to take home maximum points from Brampton.

Bradley took the championship lead to FatCat where he helped himself to more race wins and first-place trophies.

Danny Blakeley started to put Bradley under pressure at FatCat taking a couple of race wins from the Suzuki man and limiting the gap Bradley started to pull.

At Mildenhall Adrian Bradley got back to his winning ways with three race wins but Blakeley held on for two second places and a third which kept the gap to 94 points going into the final stretch.

When Farleigh Castle arrived mid August, however, the series leader was a no-show and this gave the 739 Yamaha a perfect opportunity to take over the lead.

Blakeley's 1-2-2-2-2 scorecard over the two-day meeting placed him second overall and gave him a healthy 98 points over Bradley, who still held second.

When the pair met again at Round 7 at Pontrilas, Blakeley took maximum points, leaving himself needing to score just 15 more at the final round to clinch the title. Blakeley turned up to the finale at FatCat with his race face on and took the first moto victory to seal the championship in style, after fending off Adrian Bradley.

Mark Bland rode a solid season for third place on his 125 TM.
