After bagging three consecutive AMCA Two-stroke titles, Gloucestershire based Adam Harris made a big decision during the winter, ditching his trusty green 250 Kawasaki for a Yamaha instead.

Although the colour and power-plant may now be different, Adam's results are still equally as clinical and totally dominant, cruising to an effortless maximum score during the opening round of the AMCA 2T title chase at Shobdown, Herefordshire, on Sunday.

In a meeting hosted by the Druids MXC, Harris strolled to glory ahead of James Lane and Josh Williams.

Meanwhile over in the opening round of the AMCA Veteran Championship, Martin Atherton, third in the 2014 series started the new campaign in style with the overall win, joined on the podium by Gary Jones and defending champion Simon Lane.

On the revamped Shobdon circuit, which was being run in the opposite direction to normal, it was the high-revving, hard charging 2T contenders who opened the action.

When the gate dropped for moto one, Josh Williams led the charge, but almost immediately reigning champion Adam Harris hit the front. Quickly Harris was wheel perfect, extending his advantage as a battle raged for second between Williams, James Lane and Jonathan Roderick-Evans. Sending out a message to his rivals, Harris raced on to a comfortable win, just over 12-seconds clear of Lane with Williams in third.

After initially gating tenth, Ben Haggerty produced a great ride as he stormed through to the front end of the pack to snatch fourth from Evans as Ashley Wilson and Aiden Wharton rounded off the first top six.
