The FIM and ACU appear to be at odds over the use of helmet-mounted cameras. The CMS the FIMs motocross committee updated its International Meetings Appendices in December.

The revised rulebook states... ‘A helmet is made to provide protection. It is not a platform to attach foreign objects. Cameras or other accessories are NOT permitted nor shall be attached to the rider's helmet.' Under the ACU's current Motocross Standing Regulations helmet cameras are allowed ‘with prior approval of the Chief Technical Officer or Clerk of the Course'.
