The famous Scott Time and Observation Trial took place on a dry, if cool day in the Yorkshire Dales on Saturday and the roads around Reeth were packed with trials fans attempting to keep up with the action from the close to 200 entry.

East Yorks ace Ian Austermuhle was the overall winner, he set a good time and is always very steady on observation.

Local hero Jonathan Richardson set Standard Time having completed the 75 mile route containing some 75 sections in around four hours 40 minutes.

And southern Gas Gas UK aces Alexz Wigg and Sam Haslam also put thmselves into the frame, Wiggy really chasing a Scott result and buzzing at the finish.

Dougie Lampkin admitted to struggling later in the trial as he is not a regular rider these days and finished around 20 minutes down on Richo's time but you can never count Doug out.

Vertigo team mate James Dabill suffered some problems with his factory development machine and finished around an hour down on time.

It had been a fast Scott but a good one and there are expected to be a fairly high number of official finishers in cluding Emma Bristow, Katy Sunter and Chloe Richardson.
