WOR Events have more Tough One news to unleash tonight as preparations and work gets fully underway for the awesome spectacle that will unfold in 6 days time at Nantmawr Quarry, Oswestry on Saturday 20th January.

Race CEO Steve Ireland has today been speaking with the headliner of the show, David Knight, The world's best off road and extreme Enduro rider.
The TOUGH ONE will see David debuting for his new team, REDBULL KTM USA and he will be wearing all of his new Apparel that he has signed to wear in the USA GNCC series in 2007.
It will be the first chance to see the Knighter sporting his new MOOSE clothing and also sporting his new race number, 101.
This is the number David will ride with when he heads over to the states in mid February to begin his assault on the GNCC (Grand National Cross Country) series.
David will have a full time mechanic in the states, a young 22 year old ex supercross spanner man called Shawn Munday. Shawn is over in the UK at the moment and will be at the Tough One next Saturday assisisting DK like he did at the recent Last Man Standing event in Texas.
With Both Knighter and REDBULL KTM Taking the Tough One main event very seriously indeed, a decision has been made that the big Manxman will NOT take part in the UK's first ever Speed Trial that precedes the main race.
Running the risk of injury on the smaller trials machine David has opted to focus solely on the main job in hand, Winning The WOR Tough One and showing the British public just how he can deal with extreme conditions.
Knighter is very pleased to hear from Steve that the Tough One is going to really live up to it's name this year and become a survival of the fittest.
Being the # one extreme off road rider in the world will have it's advantages for DK as the course this year will have several almost un ride able sections included that consist of boulders bigger than cars and some nasty little climbs and descents that will catch out even the best of riders.
With a knarly 300 yard run to their machines, ALL of the riders will be up against it from the minute the start flag is waved.!!
David said today
” I can't wait to get cracking at the Tough One next weekend, it sounds awesome and if it's anything like last years event in the dark and all then it really will be. The Lads at WOR have it all planned out even better than last year I reckon. There have been all sorts of rumours that I might not be riding the event for one reason or another but they were always a load of rubbish. I was always going to ride the 2007 Tough One, It's the UK's premier Extreme Enduro.
Steve has told me it will be a lot harder than previous years and finishers will be minimum, That's my kind of event. The line up of riders that Steve has got with Anders and Kari, Glen from the GNCC and all the other top Brit lads along with the speed Trials race in the middle of the day will make for a cracking days sport, I'm gutted I'm not riding the trials race but don't want to risk injuring myself and ruining my chances in the main event. I'm really looking forward to it and I'm certainly ready for it

WOR also explained a few rules today about the hard boulder sections in the quarry. Any areas that have red flags around them are "NO HELP ZONES”...only other riders can assist other riders. This will mean a "Gentleman's Agreement” taking place between the riders to help one another out. The rest of the circuit including the infamous "root of all evil” will again be open to the public to muck in and drag and pull bikes through the dark and intimidating quarry.
Last year spectators played a major part in making the event the spectacle it became. This year will be no different.
The quarry gates open at 9am on Saturday morning and non ticket holders will gain entrance at £15 per person.
The organisers again plead fro riders and spectators to "double up” in vehicles as parking space in the quarry is limited and big vehicles will simply be turned away.
Don't miss this Enduro off road feast; you will be witnessing a piece of history!!!!!!
5 days to go!!!
