JAMES Fry took maximum Novogar points in the 56th Lomax Cup Trial on Easter Monday in North Wales where conditions were ideal for the 105 starters, the vast bulk of which were contenders in the Novogar Clubman Championship.

The Brighton Under 21 rider now leads the series, one point ahead of Lee Sampson who elected to practice for Euro and British events rather head for Wales.
Fry, an MRS Sherco team member, locked-on to the Lomax sections right from Glyn Ceiriog village and
he cleaned ‘Liquid Gin' (Llechhwed Gwyn) then stormed Fron Uchaf, drop-ped a dab in Rhydloes then matched Lomax Cup chas-ers Dan Thorpe, Tom Sagar, and Sam Haslam on the slippery Moelfre Hall where Gary Jenkins lost his first mark in the first sub.
Jack Lee was in the running on his 4RT until he got a boot down in the narrow beck at Liquid Gin then the lanky rider ran clean to Gelli, then lost 13 in the three sections! With such a wealth of talent in the running it was all about consistent riding.
