With the eagerly-awaited announcement of their new trials model Sherco importers, Malcolm Rathmell Sport, have at last been able to set a date for the Sherco Extravaganza Weekend.

It takes place this year place at Westwood, near Sheffield, on Saturday, November 7, courtesy of Tim Reynolds who owns this fantastic piece of ground.

Riders will be familiar with the venue as it has been used for British Championship trials and enduros – both Hare and Hound and Extreme events – and  lends itself perfectly for both disciplines for testing all the Sherco models.

On the trials side all the new 2016 models will be on test, with  the 125, 250 and 300 versions.

In enduro the complete range will again be on show, with the 250 and 300 two-strokes and the 250i, 300i and 450i four-stroke models.

Extensive development has been undertaken on all models. There will be a small one-off charge to test enduro bikes to cover the cost of the insurance.

All the top Sherco dealers will be in attendance with bikes to test and it is expected there will be at least 18 trials bikes and 10 enduro models.

It is, however, advisable to contact your Sherco dealer to book a ride to avoid disappointment on the day.

The full MRS team will be there to give demonstrations and answer any questions, along with all the dealers.

There are expected to be a few surprises on the day with some new riders signed up to ride Sherco for 2016.

The weekend will be finished off on Sunday with an Enduro Practice Day run by Raw Enduro which is a pay and play day.

For more details regarding the practice day call 07802 572023.

Testing will start at 9.30am and finish at 4pm and there will be hot and cold refreshments available.

Westwood will be signed from Junction 36 of the M1 through Tankersley to the test site.

The new Sherco models will be previewed in next week's TMX
