A date change for the 2017 Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship final round has been confirmed.

The ACU confirmed the amendment to their 2017 eight-round schedule following the recent changes to the 2017 FIM World Motocross Championship calendar.

With the Motocross of Nations switching from Glen Helen to Matterley Basin in the UK, followed by Youthstream announcing that the final round of the MXGP series at Villars sous Ecot in France would move to September 17, the ACU had to rethink the final 2017 outing of the British championship.

The final round will now be on August 27, the earliest finish to the series for some time. And that date change isn't the only amendment to a national series, with the ACU Motocross Committee asking the Michelin MX Nationals to move forward their final round to the middle of August.

The MX Nationals confirmed that this change has been agreed and they are hopeful there will be no further date changes the series. However, the same can't be said for the British championship.

Looking at the provisional calendars there are still several MXGP date clashes, so we could still see more changes.
