Adam Sterry forced to retire from MXGP of Italy with vision difficulties [updated]

Adam Sterry is the latest British rider to suffer injury concerns after crashing at the MXGP of Italy.
The Welshman was running in seventh place in the second moto when he hit the dirt of the Imola circuit. The crash didn't look too serious except the bike hit Sterry's chin as he went down.
The 22-year-old got back up again, remounted his KX250 and rejoined the circuit with a few shakes of his head.
Sterry circulated and then opted to retire when vision issues didn't clear up.
The team report he has gone to the medical centre to be checked out.
With injury concerns for both Max Anstie and Ben Watson two-thirds of the Team GB squad already this weekend, British fans will keep their fingers crossed that Sterry will recover quickly.
Jorge Prado ran out the overall winner in the MX2 class in Italy with two moto wins. Thomas Kjer Olsen and Maxime Renaux joined the Spaniard on the podium while Sterry's F&H team-mate Jacobi, Henry finished eighth.
Update August 18, 16:53 BST: We got hold of Adam to find out how he's feeling after ringing his bell and he reports that he's going to be fine once his headache clears up. So that's certainly good news.
