The sections were super-tough and Dougie was back in third after the first lap before mounting the kind of come-from behind charge that's the stuff of legends. With the added pressure of thousands of home fans urging him on he posted a second lap a full 10 marks better than reigning champ Fujinami to record a victory that looked impossible just 15 sections earlier.Okay, so we're not going to get a world MX1 or MX2 title this year but what Doug showed are exactly the same qualities our home-grown talent need to demonstrate on the Isle of Wight at the end of the month - and the sort of mental toughness that Gordon Crockard will be looking for at Desertmartin on September 17 at the Grand Prix of Ireland. You can do it gentlemen!Sean
