THE first round of the popular Bake and Bite National Twin-shock Series kicked off at Stipers Hill, Polesworth where the circuit, which had been expertly prepared by the Polesworth Twin-shock Club, was in great shape.

First on the line was the MD Racing Products Over 50s and as withthe 2006 series it was the Maico force of Jack McEwan and PeterLightfoot who blasted out of the gate in all three races but it was former worldchampion Graham Noyce aboard his 250cc Honda who won through to take aclean sweep of three race wins.

Next up were the Over 40s where in the first two races of the dayChris Woodward and Andy Clark battled hard to take a win and a secondapiece leaving race three to be the decider. The showdown was spoilt, however,by a class piece of riding from Tom Lowe who took the holeshot andbattled hard with Clark for the entire race, but it was Clark eventually who took the race win and the overall.

The Wulfsport Masters class lined up for its first race with somefresh faces. Matt Potter, on his Husqvarna, took the first race win butnormal service was resumed in races two and three with 2005 and 2006 WulfsportMasters champion Mark Silvester taking both racewins and the overall.
