JAMES Stewart made it two wins from two starts in the 2007 AMA Supercross series last Saturday night with victory over Ricky Carmichael and Chad Reed at Chase Field, Phoenix, Arizona.

To extend his lead at the top of the championship table over his two fierce rivals, but it wasn't the walk in the park it had seemed for Stewart at Anaheim the previous week as Carmichael revised a number of bike settings mid-week, found the extra speed needed to challenge the Kawasaki star and produce one of the best races in recent memory that ended with Stewart victorious by the tiny margin of just one second.

The Stewart/ Carmichael battle was certainly one of the best races of the past few seasons, but the highlight of the evening show was undoubtedly the phenomenal Supercross Lites win by current MX2 World Champion Christophe Pourcel in what is only his second AMA Supercross race, and the complete domination of the podium by the incomparable Monster Energy Pro-Circuit Kawasaki team.
