PR - British Trials Championship

Motocross

Yesterday was the 2nd round of the British Trials Championship held near Abergavenny in South Wales. It was the first time that we have visited this venue for the Adult BTC so we didn't know what to expect.

With Saturday morning rain, this made the afternoon practice lap VERY slippery and frustrated many riders including Steve Colley because the sections were very tight and very tricky.

Nevertheless with good weather through the night and the club changing some sections the actual Trial rode OK and in the end it all worked out good. The only thing i must say is that we cannot accept the use of 'twigs' as section markers with very poor quality tape used for marking the sections. I appreciate that good quality tape is expensive but we (importers) all have good quality tape and i'm sure that if we were asked prior to the event we could each supply a couple of rolls, no problem. This is the BRITISH TRIALS CHAMPIONSHIP and is the pinnacle of our Sport so correct section markers and tape MUST be used by the clubs.

Anyway, Team JST GAS GAS had a fantastic day with STEVE COLLEY and SHAUN MORRIS (Both GG) finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Championship Class, behind Shercos Graham Jarvis who was the deserved winner again.
