Wor Events Extreme Team Enduro at Llandrillo Forest on Sunday ended in tragedy when the body of competitor Ross Hall was found.

After it was discovered that the 43-year-old machine operator from Accrington had failed to return to his vehicle once marshals had closed the course a full-scale search was launched.

In dreadful weather police, a police helicopter and mountain rescue team swept the course and discovered Ross' body.

"The most important thing now is sending out sincere condolences to the family in this terrible time and giving them some privacy and space to come to terms this awful tragedy,” said WOR boss Steve Ireland.

"Ross will always be remembered as an enduro enthusiast and a genuine loss to the sport who will be sadly missed.”
